All
have sinned and come short of the glory of God.
(Romans
3:23) |
| - |
sin
is the term God uses for man's violations of His
law. |
| - |
the
glory of God - God desired man to reflect His
holiness. |
| - |
man
has violated God's laws, and this sin has destroyed
what God desired for man. |
| - |
this
is not a small issue, but an eternal issue. Man's
sin has condemned him for eternity. |
| - |
man
because of his own sin stands judged before a holy
God. |
| |
|
| 2 |
God
commandeth his love towards us in that while we were
yet sinners
Christ died for us.
(Romans
5:8) |
| - |
God's
love moved Him to do something about this condemned
condition of man. |
| - |
Jesus
Christ came to the earth. God's law would
accept His life in exchange for ours.
This is
why Jesus went to the cross. |
| - |
It
is hard to understand all of this, yet the Bible
says it is so. |
| - |
this
is not a small issue, but an eternal issue. Man's
sin has condemned him for eternity. |
| - |
man
because of his own sin stands judged before a holy

Whosoever
shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
(Romans 10:13) |
| - |
God's
provision for us is the most important issue of
life. Imagine, Jesus Christ dying on the cross in
your place. This truth will bring one of a few
responses. |
|
- Not
for me! I don't believe it. Not for
me! I am not that bad. "Wrong"
- Sounds
good, I think we all should go to Heaven. "Wrong
Again"
|
| - |
The
Bible says, one needs to call upon the name of the
Lord. That means they need to ask the Lord to
save them personally. "God
I need to be saved!" |
| |
|
| 4 |
With
the heart man believeth unto righteousness and with
the mouth of confession is made
unto salvation. (Romans
10:10) |
| - |
God
desires each individual to believe this wonderful
truth in their heart, and then ask God to save them
personally. This means that Jesus' death on
the Cross is applied to their sin debt. One is
then saved from their sin. Forgiven! |
| |
|
| 5 |
If
thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus,
and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath
raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
(Romans
10:9) |
| - |
Salvation
is not what we can do for God, it is what God has
done for us. We need to accept it and believe
it in our hearts. How wonderful to know that
"God so loved the world, that He gave His only
begotten son, that whosoever believeth in Him,
should not perish, but have everlasting life."
John 3:16 |
| - |
What
is the end for those who are not saved? They
are short of the glory of God. They cannot
enter into the kingdom of God. Luke 16:23
tells us the end of such a man..... "in hell he
lifted up his eyes"..... |
